Zip

I need to zip my files, what can I use to do this on the APN Public PCs?

You can use 7-Zip to compress or zip your files.  Zipping reduces the data size of files and is therefore useful for email attachments or reducing the amount of space to store files. 

7-Zip can un-pack .rar files.

Using 7-Zip to compress files

• open My Computer
• right click the file or files you wish to compress
• select 7-zip from the context menu
• add to archive
• rename the archive if you wish
• to change the default archive format click on the drop down arrow, most people's computers can cope with ZIP file format
• click OK
