  • Note: your email provider would need to support secure SMTP 587 also
  • Configuring SMTP how to

Instead APN recommend you use webmail to send messages

Other restrictions ...

  • WiFi hotspots operates only during the Library's open hours

Is my laptop secure on the APN WiFi network?

Wireless Client Security Separation is enabled, this means the associated wireless clients are not able to communicate with each other's devices. This feature is intended for hotspots and other public access situations.

The APN applies the above restrictions in order to provide a secure network to all users, it is up to the individual to take responsibility to ensure their laptop is safe by following standard computer security guidelines including up-to-date anti virus software running, up-to-date critical/security patches for Operating System (eg Windows) and other programs applied and firewall / network security application enabled.
