Transfer files from camera to CD

 

How can I transfer my photos from camera to CD on the APN Public PCs?

We recommending transfering files this way ...

1.  Plug your camera's memory card into one of the four slots at the front of the PC

2.  Open My Computer and select G:\  H:\  I:\  or  J:\   (depends what type of card your using, for example SD cards display as the I:\ drive)

3.  Select the files you wish to transfer (you can select more than one file at a time by holding down the shift key and click the files you want)

4.  Edit, Copy

5.  Open My Documents

6.  Use the menu Edit, Paste your files into My Documents (or use right click)

7.  Use the menu Edit, Copy your files in My Documents (or use right click)

8.  In My Computer window select the CD drive Z:\

9.  Put a writeable CD into the PC

10.Use the menu Edit, Paste to copy your files to the CD

11.Use the menu File, Write files to CD to do so.  (follow the wizard instructions from here in)

After writing your files to CD, put the CD back in the computer and check that your files have successfully been transferred.  You can now delete the files from My Documents (and your memory card) if you wish.  If you restart the APN Public PC your files on My Documents will automatically be wiped.
