Capturing Photos using Skype

How do I capture a photo of myself with Skype using the APN Public PC webcam?

You need to log into Skype, if you do not already have a Skype account see our using Skype FAQ.

• Log into Skype [Start menu]
• Tools
• Options
• Video settings
• Take a video snapshot
• Take a snapshot (count to 3)
• Save snapshot (note you can try again, and crop the picture)
• Right click "snap shot of me"
• Save as
• Name your photo, note the default location is My Documents
• OK
• Open My Computer or My Documents and browse to your photo
• ta-da!
• Skype - click on your name in the Skype console - it should now display a picture of you.
