Blocked website

What should I do if the website I go to is blocked on the APN network?

The Aotearoa People's Network internet access is filtered - websites that appear to contain pornographic content or malicious software (virus) are blocked on our public PCs and on our WiFi service.

When a website is blocked a message displays on the screen displaying the URL of the website that is blocked and also displays the APN logo.

If you believe that the website should be allowed then talk to a library staff member.  Library staff can contact the APN directly to request the website be unblocked.  It is important that the library staff member is aware of the exact URL of the website that is being blocked, it usually begins with http:// .
